Here is one more before & after because I LOVE a good before and after! We ripped out the small cabinet above the stove, and built a large vent hood around the insert. The white cabinets and light counter tops are so inviting. The floor-to-ceiling pantry will have to go in first, so the smaller upper cabinet can attach to it – ergo the base assembly.
The obvious first place to start was with the sink counter so we could get some running water back on the main floor. Just tell that to the friendly folks at Lowes and they’ll mix it right up. I love that you can get ANY color in small $2.50 samples at Lowes.
It’s just personal preference people, if you love your microwave, good for you! We didn’t push it and then she started bringing drawings for the baby home from school and in second week started wanting to hold and touch her more. Oak was similar in price, but to reddish, and a very hard wood, which meas cutting and adhering would be tougher.
